Who can join pulse radio?

Currently, only present LSE and NYU London students and staff can join Pulse Radio here, however, we are working on obtaining alumni memberships. Unfortunately, people outside of LSE and NYU London cannot join Pulse, but you are always welcome at our events!

Can I learn to DJ?

Yes! We run weekly DJ workshops with members from the society who will take you through the basics of DJing. Many of our members learn to DJ through our society and go on to play at our events. Keep an eye on our social media for any announcements.

HOW TO GET ACCESS TO THE BOOTH?

To access the booth in the SU Media Centre (2nd floor), first purchase a Pulse membership here., which will automatically grant you booth access. Then, book your booth slot on the LSE resource booker. On the day of your booking, go to the SU reception and request the keys to the booth in the Media Centre (you may need to update them about). Get into the booth and have some fun!

How do I apply for a radio or podcast?

Applications for radio shows and podcasts usually go out at the start of each term as we create schedules termly, however if you want to start later in the term or do a one off, please contact us via social media.

Do you do Socials?

Yes! Every Monday of term from 18:30 you can find us at the Three Tuns or in the Media Centre for Pints with Pulse.

Can I send you a mix?

Information about our 25/26 mix series will be posted on social media.

What sort of music is at your events?

Our events showcase DJs from our community with a wide variety of styles, usually from electronic music genres. Every Pulse night is different and you can always expect to hear something new and exciting. We also often invite up and coming DJs from the wider London scene.

what facilities do you have on campus?

On campus we are lucky to have a dedicated space for broadcasting and DJing - the radio booth. In the booth we have Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexuses, a Pioneer DJM-900 Nexus, turntables, as well as a radio broadcasting deck and microphones. The spaces is acoustically treated.
