LSE’S STUDENT RADIO.

Pulse Radio

Pulse Radio

ABOUT.

Pulse Radio began broadcast on 1st February 1999. Working in tandem with The Beaver and Loose TV, Pulse showcased the best of student journalism. We played good tunes, broke news and interviewed the likes of former Canadian President, Kim Campbell, and News Broadcaster, Jon Snow. In 2005 we were even awarded the 'Student Website of the Year' at the Guardian Student Media Awards… That was until a former President blew the budget on a nice set of CDJs and the enthusiasm for radio broadcast on campus died out. But we’re back and extremely grateful for our predecessor’s investment as we are now training a new generation of LSE DJs. This year we bring you broadcast, podcasts and best of all, nights that will make you forget that you are at LSE. Tune in and get involved x

Pulse Radio are enamoured to announce our inaugural party at Venue MOT. This time we'll be running until the wee hours guided by the spirit of the dancefloor and in true Pulse form we'll be bringing the talent to match. Joining us for witching hour will be the multidisciplinary Paige, co-founder of Night Service Records. A lover of all things groovy, sexy and speedy, Paige's selections have consistently placed her in her own lane and we can't wait to go on the sonic journey she takes us on... From Pulse Radio, our DJs will be blending ethereal melodies and haunting vocals with pulsing basslines and hypnotic rhythms all night long. Expect a few surprise b2bs and the return of our beloved Pulse alum, Bena. As the seasons change and the last drive before the summer commences, join us for a musical cleansing in preparation.
